Bio2011:
Iben Rodriguez is an Information Security Infrastructure Architect who learned security fundamentals while maintaining the data communication networks used by military reconnaissance, then setting up and validating Clinical Trial and Adverse Event Tracking systems, and running the IT department at fabless semiconductor design startup companies. He has designed and delivered complex projects for international pharmaceutical and semiconductor companies, ecommerce companies and many government entities.

Working closely with VMware and the Center for Internet Security he kicked off and maintains the Benchmark for vSphere ESX hardening and has been selected a vExpert by VMware since 2009. As part of the Virtualization Security Roundtable podcast series Iben works closely with vendors to stay in front of the latest products and trends in Cloud Computing.

Iben is considered one of the foremost industry experts in Enterprise Security and virtual infrastructure design dealing with ITIL, SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO27000 assessments and remediation. He’s presented on virtualization security at many conferences including AppCon, InfoSec Cloud, Network World, SANs, and VMworld.

Favorite hobbies are flying kites and photography. Fluent in Spanish. Loves to travel and solve complex problems.
